repo-santa strikes! (i made this up the rest is real)
Police are searching for suspects in connection with a crime that left a seriously-ill boy without the toys that help him endure his regular medical treatments.
Newscenter 5's Mary Saladna reported that the boy's mother, Kitty Muller, of Revere, Mass., still can't believe that the crime occurred.
"I'm like, his bag is gone, everything is gone. That's all I kept saying, 'Everything is gone,'" she said.
Monday night, Muller left her car unlocked in the driveway of her sister's driveway in Derry, N.H. Someone then made off with a bag belonging to her son, Daniel.
"I started crying, I started to feel sad inside," Daniel said, because the big lime-green bag that was stolen was full of video games, a portable DVD player and movies he watches during the lengthy gama-globulin treatments he undergoes for an immune disorder. He had knicknamed it his "gama bag."
Police said there has been a rash of car break-ins in Derry, but so far they don't have any leads on suspects.
"They didn't have a right to do that. They shouldn't have done that," Daniel said.
"They took something of value and significance to a 7-year-old boy. How sick is that?" his mother asked.
The family is hoping the public will help police find the thiefs.

Scottsdale police arrested another driver suspected of speeding faster than 100 mph on the Loop 101.
Jessica Elizabeth Jaques, 19, was taken into custody early Friday morning and charged in connection to several separate incidents of criminal speeding, police said.
The arrest was Scottsdale's third of a suspected reckless Loop 101 driver since the city started regulating the 65 mph speed limit with speed cameras between Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard in January.

Well, this will get a rise out of some people here.
INS has made raids at local manufacturers who employ Hispanics. A large company in Indy was raided last night, and at least 4 large manufacturers were visited here today, but once the raid last night became public, a large number of Hispanics did not show up for work today.
And a man was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of murdering a 14 year old girl who accidently witnessed him making meth. He says he wants to write a children's book while in jail with the proceeds going to build a park in her memory.

SAN FRANCISCO
Hells Angels arrested after agents break down door of S.F. clubhouse
Bay Area raids part of probe into drugs, money laundering
Friday, April 21, 2006
Two leaders of the San Francisco chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club were arrested Thursday along with several associates of the gang in raids conducted as part of a six-month federal and local investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering in the Bay Area, authorities said.
Dozens of agents broke down the doors of the Hells Angels' clubhouse on Tennessee Street in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of Dogpatch in the early morning raid. Agents also searched No Mercy Tattoo at 12th and Howard streets. No one at the parlor would comment.
The club's president, Joseph Wilson, 35, was arrested along with Jason Peterson, 32, according to sources close to the investigation. Authorities said they found a pound of methamphetamine in the garage of a home that abuts the clubhouse.
"The Hells Angels is a drug trafficking organization," said one investigator who asked not to be named. "They deal drugs, both marijuana and methamphetamine, to their clientele."

The biggest thing in our local newspaper is that the city council just passed a ordinance requiring home-owners here in town that have property bordering city streets to put in a side-walk. This has been a huge hub-bub over the past few months.
I guess life in no where WV really does have it's advantages.
Oh!! The monthly court report came out in the last paper (which only comes out weekly by the way.lol ) Bunch of people arrested for breaking and entering, a dui or two, and of course there's always that bad check writer, and then allllllllll those seat belt violations and speeders!! Yessireebob... they sure take up a lot of space in our little 24 page newspaper thats filled with more gossip than anything. (half the paper is dedicated to the sports .......and over half of the sports section is local sports like high schools, little league, etc)
But at the current time, the sidewalk issue is the biggest thing we have!!
(((((((( my town)))))))))) After reading all your posts, I am definitely hugging my town!!!

Biggest story in news paper, SPEEDER OF THE WEEK 128 in a 80!
Sadly, that was a big story twice in the last week in our town as well. The other part is that they were street racing and died. Two separate incidents exactly one week apart. It doesn't take much to lose control at that speed and the car rips apart like a paper bag.
Sorry to be a downer. I can't help myself. It's such a waste of beautiful young people's lives.

OK, to continue the downer theme...I looked to see what our local headline was, and now feel sick:
At age 12, a life wrecked by meth
'The worst thing I've ever done'
The Arizona Republic
Apr. 24, 2006 12:00 AM
'Can I get high with you?" Dixie asked her father when she was 12. He gave her meth. She liked it.
Things like this are the reason I get the 7th level of hell in the Dante's Inferno quiz. I feel a tremendous urge to find her father and kill him, slowly and painfully. To do something like this to any innocent, let alone his own daughter, deserves something really special.
