All Good Revisited
02 June 2006
Sometimes to wonder
which way the world was shining
As to her, of directives in personal thought
her happiness permitted upon a being
Where incarceration was her motive
but what was hidden in dark
Some element of marriage
left over like a completed meal
Scraps of food and savoury sauce
bread crumbs upon a earthenware platter
There she was, placing the blame
her inside sanitised in alcohol, preserved
Would she ever give up
endearing an era in path
No one knew but her
what this was to be in truth
“Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

Languages to Seek
03 June 2006
Coldness, just one side of love
doors closed, others opening in day
Nights addressed, as to letters of love
for what was ever, a man or woman alone
A world strained as to sieve
without her, empty, yet full
Both sides of a story
even lamps give out light and shade
Those shadows, the once not seen
luminance given off, yet blotted like ink
A blank page, the slate cleaned as of to begin
the cloth damp in tears of soaking reality
This warmth left in heating, unhealed wounds
scars of fear, indented requitement
Existence, another word to linger
or was it the poet who created
languages to seek
“And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering,
or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your
solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the herd, or
of the flock: And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering
shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.”
Numbers 15: 3, 5 KJV

Words that Speak
03 June 2006
More than words can say
yet all I have is words to give
What was like, where did love live
Could this be a place
hope and sorry meet
Therefore as to words
this does greet
Nothing more and nothing less
where this voice was yet to speak
Because within your eyes
that soul remained
but in spirit to peak
Looking at you, but knowing
this comes at but a price
The kind of cake, taken and eaten
a nibble by nibble, succulent in every slice
For what was poetry, words and more
What was like, where did love live
More than words can say
yet all I had was words to give
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 KJV

Naked in Clothes
03 June 2006
Empty was an end
the beginning of a reel
As to a string stretched
knotted to create a net
Entangled within love
an estrangement of opportunity
This door open, but closed
empty was not being full
High upon happiness
or dead to death
Life was about living
only to die was true as well
For what was tomorrow
that other day of the weak
This earth of humility
or just a place naked in clothes
“But the meek shall inherit the earth; and
shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”
Psalms 37: 11 KJV
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”
Matthew 5: 5 KJV

Temperate Rising
04 June 2006
Struck down with a fever
but no temperature to rise
Much like a loaf of bread
the yeast dried up and added
Enzymes this durative of God
chromosomes of faith embedded to concentrate
Where was worship, in that make up of mankind
was it, God created women, if only to reason
Unable to provide this heart its dues
clasped upon religion, as to breathe
Lost without salutation, given in to hope
no entity to deity, tomorrow was born
Captured in words embossed
from days of yesterday
Who invented truth
or did God deny that too
“That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate,
sound in faith, in charity, in patience.”
Titus 2: 2 KJV

Clear to View
04 June 2006
Another moment to open your eyes
the tread forth, ready to welcome unity
Or was darkness always to be your shadow
that landscape of temperament found
Reaching inside, yet in wonder
this blank avenue of a dead end street
That place to walk in ways blind
entangled in a fear, that yesterday gone
For where was this corner
the intersection, dissecting your path
Cut open, cut apart, half of a whole
a circle of circumference inflamed
Of a beauty held in eternity
her heart, a soul unleashed
Minds changing, reminders departed
where hazel eyes were clear to view
“But these are written, that ye might believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that
believing ye might have life through his name.”
John 20:31 KJV

Forgiveness was Free
04 June 2006
How rude was she
that day she did judge
As if good was not all
in her way of being criticize
Yet should this be in words
a secret time to love
Across a world, half a breath
how rude was she, of that to address
While two rights are neither
nor was wrong her strength
This poetic rhythm of kind
left alone, not wanting to part
So to say sorry, was a reason to be
alone and wanting, her heart to read
Another time to ponder
these was of yesterday
tomorrow forgiveness was free
“The art of conversation consists as much
of listening politely as in talking agreeably.”

This One Word
18 June 2006
Some call it beauty
some call it love
Was there one word
to this avenue
To say “Caroline”
and know she was
genuine and true
Awake, a sunshine
this love in desire
To the outlook ahead
this love of Caroline divine
A name, a word
those Bible scriptures in verse
This Rachel song, likened to Christmas heard
“Sweet Caroline” or was that Carolyn
in this way, this path, this one word
“Hands, touching hands, reaching out
Touching me, touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
I've been inclined to believe it never would”
Sweet Caroline (Good Times Never Seemed So Good)
Song Lyrics Written & originally
performed by Neil Diamond
The song reached # 4 on the Top 40 charts in 1964

Cables to Happiness
01 July 2006
Spinning upon a universal web
this place of love weaving new strands
Across an ocean, a wire joined
cables to happiness, but not true love
Wanting and in near by hope, Canaan to heart
a southern existence, unsheltered in pain
To the wild winds, a good hope to faith
her eyes neither visible, blindness through glass
Age another presence, spirited to adjoin
half and whole, and whole and half again
Poetry in verses, emptiness unrepentant
a love unfeigned, yet never what real is
This place of love weaving new strands
spinning upon a universal web
Cables to happiness, but what of love true
across an ocean, a wire of visibility joined between
Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee, KBE, [born 08 June 1955] is the inventor of the World
Wide Web [along with Robert Cailliau] Berners-Lee was born in London, England, and
attended Emanuel School in Wandsworth. He was an alumnus of the Queen's College of
Oxford University, where he built a computer with a soldering iron, TTL gates, an M6800
processor and an old television. It was also at Oxford where after he was caught hacking
with a friend, he was subsequently banned from using the university computer.
In 1980, while an independent contractor at CERN, Berners-Lee proposed a project based on
the concept of hypertext, to facilitate sharing and updating information among researchers.
With help from Robert Cailliau he built a prototype system named Enquire.
He later used similar ideas to create the World Wide Web, for which he designed and built the
first browser. The first website Berners-Lee built [and therefore the first web site] was first
put online on 06 August 1991.

Haven to Live
02 July 2006
If there ever was a prayer
it was of your heart
A moment to think, to pause
and stand alongside your name
To close my eyes
and know you’re there
In this place, a haven to live
Like it was always like this
with an image of you inside
A completeness so adjoined
A treasure to betroth
Yet would that prayer ever be heaven
a true life being to touch and love
What of God and His place
were you there, as to woman and man
To not be alone, or loneliness to partake
while one life begets another
both can live, within those shadows apart
“Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious
name. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be
able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of
thee, and of thine own have we given thee. For we are strangers
before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on
the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. O LORD our
God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house
for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.”

Carol in a Can
06 July 2006
This day, a new love
was she for real, would it be
What of God
was this a time to live
One year forward, one year back
A crossroad of birth
they call it living
Sorrow, pain, trying to find what is right
Love in the world, retrospect
those fish ‘John West’ do reject
Carol in a can, or a sardine or two
this love and desire made true
Would it be, would love come home to roost
across a world of unified happening
For there she was, one to respect
her honour worthy, and that of trust
Simply the best, if only made so
her age, her being, beautiful in heart to grow
“It’s the fish John West rejects that makes John West the best.”
an advertising slogan of John West Foods.
Founded in Liverpool in 1861 by two local merchants, T L Pelling and C H Stanley,
in recognising the potential of canned food, particularly Salmon, as an ideal food
for workers in the industrial North of Britain. Pelling Stanley and Company were
the first to ship salmon from America to the United Kingdom in 1871.
The John West brand name was established in 1885 in Liverpool, England by T.L. Pelling &
C.H. Stanley Provisions, Fruit and Canned Goods Merchants. In 1964, the John West Food
Company was registered and in 1969 began operations in Australia, and Africa in 1974, in
establishing an export network trading with more than 60 countries, sourcing the seafood,
fruit and vegetables from around the world.
The John West company at present appears to be Australian owned.

Mirror in Your Eyes
13 July 2006
To look in the mirror
and know what I see
Destiny, looking back at me
To smile, to look into her eyes
that wonder, that beauty of surprise
To know it was true
this mirror image
of both me and she
Twice across a world
in distance granted
For was God, really
true to his word
A blessing given long ago
a word of “surety” to know
For was it her, or was this a dream
to look into her eyes, and know
she was all of beauty to it seem
“And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou
shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and
to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy
seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”

All Three to True
14 July 2006
Hope, faith and charity, or all three
those things in life, important to me
Words of joy, words of love
these words to openly live by
Tears in an eye
all lost in ways of faith
For would there be a tomorrow
this way of reaching out to her grace
Apples on a tree, love upon the wind
this hope carried upon a wishing star
Could it, would it, will that ring true
to whisper into her ear, “I love you”
Roses are red, but some are yellow as well
this harbour of amour and places to view
Who said it might never happen
never to be married, or openly
say “love was true”
“And now abideth faith, hope, charity,
these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
1 Corinthians 13: 13 KJV
There are many occasions when a rose is an appropriate gift, the colour of the rose
being the deciding factor in whether or not the rose is suitable for the occasion.
Red roses symbolize eternal love, respect, and passion. Red roses are considered to be
the perfect way to say “I love You”, White roses are often found at weddings (innocence,
purity) and funerals (reverence). Yellow roses send messages of celebration, joy, hope,
and freedom.
Pink roses are associated with friendship and marriage. Soft, cheerful and happy,
pink roses denote admiration, gentleness and sweetness. A posy of pink roses says
“Thank You”, “You’re So Kind” and “I Love You” in a way that can be considered
either romantic or friendly.

All of Her Beauty
14 July 2006
All of her beauty
and not enough to touch
Her life and his, distance bound
To love her, to desire her hold
Everything and anything
if finally his love of her was found
Time never stationary
as to the train upon life’s track
Hunger, emptiness, her morsel, his snack
Railways, aircraft and the sun
just to know under the moon,
she was one
Angels of mercy, angels of birth
would the sun ever shine
to her in every value of worth
Another day, another death
a father to child, children born
To die a lonely man, to die of scorn
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me:
thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath
of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.”
Psalms 138: 7 KJV

Mid-Summers Valentine
15 July 2006
Where was love,
in this mid-summers Valentine
Far away in Hope, or just near by
her heart beating to a winters cold
This world not round enough to endure
Summer Christmas, or winter cold
snow on raindrops and rainbows to dream
A love for all seasons, given the seed
her beauty that of verdite
few would understand to breathe
Of a poet upon a winters dawn
where in avenues the moon did weep
Where was love, in sight of that truth
her eyes, her kindness, seasons away
Upon a woven tapestry
with threads of silver aligned
All central to one beginning
could the stars know an answer
the one God has failed to give
The Earth’s seasons are not caused by the differences in the distance from the Sun
throughout the year (these differences are extremely small). The seasons are the
result of the tilt of the Earth's axis.
The Earth’s axis is tilted by 23.45°. This tilting is what gives us the four seasons of
the year - spring, summer, autumn (fall) and winter. Since the axis is tilted,
different parts of the globe are oriented toward the Sun at different times of the year.
Summer is warmer than winter (in each hemisphere) because the Sun’s rays hit the Earth at
a more direct angle during summer than during winter and also because the days are much
longer than the nights during the summer. During the winter, the Sun’s rays hit the Earth at
an extreme angle, and the days are very short. These effects being due to the tilt of the
Earth’s axis. (When summer in the North will coincide with winter in the south)

Vista Upon a Heart
16 July 2006
This art of love
those pictures to paint
A vista imprinted upon a heart
as to the narcissist of God’s way
An essence of hope
that touch of an Orange Grove
The way of spectacle in image seen
the grass of a landscape in colour green
Could love grow upon an ocean
captured in His net of the sea
This loving God, as if in control
for only He has self interest at toll
A selfish father of heavenly grace
whom answers in ways given
For his children were but the child
upon a journey back to his side
narcissist, - (someone in love with themselves), selfish person - (a person who is unusually
selfish or someone who prevents you from enjoying something that they themselves have
no need for), egocentric, - (a self-centred person with little regard for others) opportunist,
self-seeker - (a person who places expediency above principle)
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no
thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for
the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

An Angel in my Eyes
16 July 2006
To be so different
yet so true
To know in a heart
each and every beat was you
A moment born, as if Christ stood
near this land of your soul
The place of each world
parted, yet in unity whole
Your words, your softness
your understanding, an anointing
This voice, this silence
that sound of angels that sing
Debonair and desire
this faith with hope to decree
Was it love, would it be true
for what ever it was it was you
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby
some have entertained angels unawares.”

A Question to God
17 July 2006
Was she everything God promised
as to that prayer and more
This trust to honour
her way of life to give
For where was the future
that place with her beside
Those red headed babies
and all to with her provide
Her eyes, that haze within
those specks of colour to envelope
That mystery smile, her cheeky heart
such kindness truly angelic to desire
Would age overcome entity
and distance dwindle to embrace
Was she truly everything God did promise
or was again fate to be robbed of mother nature
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when
thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
