I wrote this for my dad when I was in my early 20's. He was a preacher.

OUR DAY IN COURT

Through all of our lives the good and the bad
Satan will lead us astray
But trust in the Lord with all of your heart
And ask Him to show you the way

There will be a day that is yet to come
When all of God's children will meet
To stand before God and all of his court
To see who will be the elite

There will be no lawyers to handle your case
Or bondsmen to set you free
There'll be only one, the Master and Lord
To listen to your final plea

You may not agree with decisions made
But they will be truthful and just
For we have our laws to follow on earth
And know to whom we must trust

The sentance recieved will be accepted
In front of His throne as we kneel
The term will be served to fullest extent
For there is no chance for appeal

And on this day we'll have no more time
To ponder the lessons we've learned
He'll look at His children and in a firm voice
He'll tell us "This Court Is Adjourned"

Very nice, Ted. Did your father enjoy it?
