he took me out to share a few
we laughed and talked the whole night through
but when i looked back, he wasnt you.

his smile was nice he had a way
to make me laugh and want to stay
his voice was soft and his words were true
but then i noticed, he wasnt you.

soon it was time to say goodnight
his kiss was soft and felt just right
but my heart told me what i had to do
just say goodnight, cos he wasnt you.
