Posts: 652 LOL... it's amazing what you find when you go looking for one thing. I'm finding that I actually DO like some of my own poetry

I found a letter in my suitcase
A very old letter about you and me
How time escaped me in my youth
And how I longed for us to be free
It's a keeper
Though a tear rolls down my cheek
For the joy I felt and lost
All those days so dead and gone
I know now the very cost
Of loving you

It was shredded to pieces
From my fitfull rage
But I put together every page
And dwelled on love songs
Relived rights and wrongs
I'd have done anything to lick your lips
To feel the thrusting of your hips
Taste your love
That was all there was
I loved you
