When I think about nine eleven
And the horrors that befell us
I think of American heroes
Not the crap that the Taliban tell us

And not the loss of the buildings
or the cowardly use of our planes
I think of the police and firemen
Going back into the flames

Yes I think of New York Firemen
The bravest of the brave
Not the stinking cowards hiding
In some Afghani cave

I think about the police
N Y P D BLUE
And know American resolve
Is strong and just and true

So when I think of nine eleven
I think of what can be
Not just in America
But in the WORLD of the FREE

Posts: 35 too bad it doesnt reflect the true loss.. that of the innocent lives of our fathers mothers brother sisters children and friends...i kinda feel this poem doesnt do the pain of 9-11 justice..our police and firemen, while very brave did their job..but the rest of us lost our innocent loved ones..we had to wipe the snow like ash off our windshields for months after..we had to breath the smell of burned flesh for weeks and picked up pieces of burned documents in our backyards..9-11? its not about the cops and taliban.. its about the loss and the terror among many many far more significant issues.
