A darkness;
not real, imaginary,
in my head.
Pain, suffering
of a kind I wished
I never knew.
A darkness;
real, solid,
enveloping me.
And finally a light,
shining through,
with passion and love.
And now, happiness;
a kind I never knew,
a dream come true.
