Posts: 41 He is hard…and soft
I can see in his eyes the passion
and
the pain

He makes me laugh
and
think

Instinctively, we know each other
but life has taught us…
to be careful

To toss out feelings for logic
based on memories of
those who have hurt us

Ohh, the conversations
Engaging the mind
and
heart

He is
A soldier

He is
A man who has been hurt

I care for him more than I knew, more than he knew
deep blue eyes
that bared his soul and spoke more than words able

We don’t talk now…
Says it was a mistake
I promised…not to write

I miss his mischievous smile
And his rapier wit…
