The Praying Mantis

Oh gentle Mantis say a prayer for me
Upon your moss under the hemlock tree

How quiet you are such a gent indeed
Your coat so blends with the milk pod weed

Is your resting place under the forge-me-nots
To shade your wings from the sun so hot?

My precious Mantis how deeply you pray
Please say one for all on this beautiful day!

praying Mantis may be cute little buggers
but hemlock is highly poisonous
such are the merits of life
once bitten some times shy

and in my real life I have spent 10 years
just trying to eliminate a batch of hemlock
and that is true in every way

Hey Markiss..think of it this way before you get a large absess on your head by hitting it...

dolphins in the sky...question; what do you see when you look in the sky? (daytime) Hint, hint: not cotton candy, ah not cotton balls. Little trivia here

thanks angel ........ liked yours too .... praying mantis of any size are usually females .... and if the male is not careful in mating he can be a meal as well ofthe female ....... the original reason for the saying coming and going at same time .. lol

all I know about hemlock is that is can cause blindness
and is highly toxic - and had death associated with it
so I am at a loss to any healing properties such a plant of death could hold -
maybe I need to do more research

Ok, here's a new one I wrote. All critics can clap if you like...

A FINAL REGRET

As she lays upon
Her deathbed
All is in order
But she wipes
Tears from her
Eyes as she
Remembered
She forgot to
Hug her dog.

This poem I wrote and is in a chapter of the book I am writing called "Childrens Treasure Corner" Hope you enjoy!

SIR DRAGONFLY

Good day sir dragonfly, how do you do!
Did you come from a sandy beach
To make a point of view?

You are so positively stunning
With your pastel sparkled wings
Lifting you to n fro to rest upon my knee.

Sting me not sir dragonfly
Do you think I hold you to account
Any despair in all that you have found?
