Pens and paper scattered everywhere,
Shadows loom from moonlights stare.
Thoughts, like army ants, come to share
And one by one, they are all there.
In countless hours, dark of night,
Transparent cobwebs, silent in candlelight
Memories stir and are a fright,
Can't seem to get the words down right.
Feelings in ink, she never shared,
Somehow frightened, no one would care.
So, in the darkness, her soul she bared,
Unto blank paper, her spirit was snared.
A strong-willed lady, with stubborn ways,
Solitude beside her, in silence stays.
Where echoe's of windchimes, forever plays,
Whispered love songs, in word bouquets;
She imaged herself a poet's retreat
Every word written, came forth to greet
From pen to paper, her soul to meet
Where her life of rhyme, was forever sweet.
