Posts: 7,012 As dawn breaks
and the birds sing in the trees,
I feel the darkness descending
to envelop me in it's evil embrace.

As I fight to break through the curtain
to the daylight beyond,
I feel my skin tear
under the talons of Satan's children.

As I rip them off me
and break their scrawny necks,
still more come to devour me.
I stand tall and surrender to their deadly embrace.

My eyeballs are plucked mercilessly from my face
and sharpened claws shred my feeble flesh.
Satan swoops down to join his fledgling flock
and rips the beating heart from my chest.

"What more can I do" I ask myself,
as I sink to my knees and welcome the blackness.
