Sweet, strong, sensuous
With many fine tuned edges
That soften the rough side
Of you....the you that
Draws me in and wraps
Me in folds of anticipation.

I like the feel of you
And the passage of time
Jeers at my hunger
For your patiently awaited
Presence...

In the silences of your absence
I listen to the beat of loneliness
As I wander back and forth
Between the need for quiet
Emptiness...and my desire
For you...

These moments recede
Like a slow moving tide
Leaving my heart sandy smooth
And free of emotional debris
Of the past...

My hands always find something
Busy to do...

But my thoughts remain silently
With you...
