I have a son that is one year old and cannot eat dairy. Does anyone know of stores that sell soy and non dairy products. Any ideas on what kind of foods I can give him. Any help would be really great as I have never had to worry about what I have feed my children when it came to this stuff.

Safeway, Raleys, Smith's and even Walmart (around here) have quite a broad selection of Soy and lactose free products. Also, believe it or not, you might try a real Chinese grocery store as well as health food grocery stores. There's a lot of info online, also...
Good luck. (I went through a brief period of education and experimenting when my son was about that age...a LONG time ago. At the time, the old timey doc had me eliminate things from his diet and introduce them back gradually -- we never quite pinned down the culprit, but found out that yogurt was better tolerated than cows milk ...so it couldn't have just "dairy" with him. btw, he outgrew whatever it was within a year)

My 16 yr old daughter went off dairy years ago and her runny nose cleared up...it was sooo bad in Nursery school she had to miss days on end because she didn't know how to blow her nose and the school equated runny noses with contagious colds and required children to stay home.
She drinks soy milk...eats soy cheese...actually she told me when she was 4 she was never going to eat animals again....and never consciously did from that time to now.
About 3 years ago she decided to go vegan...no eggs....no dairy cheese...she already had been off cows milk for years.
By the way....my daughter is 6 feet tall and a few years ago was approached by a modelling agency....she has been a star athlete and equestrian and honour student.
The only reason I brag is to proove to you that a child can excell on a non traditional diet....(Kenanahora)
I don't know whether they sell the vanilla SO NICE soy milk in the states....here you can by it in Safeway and most big chain groceries. It's organic and is more expensive than regular milk but it's without chemicals and all the other yucky stuff that may or may not be in the cow's feed.
There is also soy icecream...soy cheese that tastes good.

I have some lactose intolerance which causes terrible stomach pains
Soy icecream tastes as good as dairy icecream but it tends to melt a little quicker.
