I finally got the diagnosis after fearing that I tore my ACL due to instability in my knee and am looking to get the body back to 100%. Any suggestions?

My Dr. Ok me to start exercising and go to rehab last friday. Even though he is a Veterans Administration Dr I am sure that he knows something....  ....hopefully  . The tear was in the lower area of the quad, by the ligaments of the knee so for the last 9 months I have had no forward mobility of my rt leg and steps are a . I am still waiting for my rehab date but I would really like some leg exercises also. I know he recommended the eliptical (my favorite machine) so I will be bck on that this week.

I'm sure you'll have to take it really easy, but they have those "thera-bands" that offer some, but not too much resistance. I used one for my rotator cuff. I think they have looping kind for other areas!
