Here’s one I just got from my dad.
If you have joint issues and you want a home remedy that gives similar and some consider better results than glucosamine /chondroitin, try taking several empty egg shells from your just cracked eggs and crumple them up in a pot of water, bring to a boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes, then let cool, put in the frig and drink a glass in the morning and in the evening.
Great from keeping the knees and other joint cartilage strong and flexible.

Does anyone know about the use of DMSO anymore? When I was living in Oregon, back in the seventies, it was popular and many claimed it helped sore joints.

yes very good.....but you also smell of garlic. and it absorbs in the body so you need to be careful with it.

Painter, lol, don't have on any synthetic material when you apply absorbine, it will melt it.

Dmso is in that blue stuff that you buy for arthritis, my grandmother used dmso when she was alive, it worked better for her than anything else.

Lol, if you use the capsacin stuff, don't get in a hot bathtub, wow, liquid fire, and if you put it on your back, be sure to wash it all off before getting in the shower. My mom had a boyfriend who used it on his back, he got in the the shower and the stuff ran down into the crack of his bottom. My mom heard this horrible screaming from the bathroom and went to see what was wrong. They had never been intimate, but she had to help him get all the ointment wiped out of his butt crack. I still laugh about that one.

By the way, if you have arthritis in your family, the doctors told me that running, jogging is out, you only have so much cushioning in your joints and the constant pounding is not good for it, but then, you all have to decide these things for yourself.

I have found that gluclosamine and chrondroitin are very hard on my stomach, so I don't take those anymore. I broke my leg in seventy eight, four inches above my ankle, a compound ski boot fracture. I spent two years on crutches and had four operations ending with a plate and a bone graft. The plate messed up my ankle, and gave me arthritis. I have found that too much exercise makes it much worse and extremely painful. I am remembering though, that the glucosamine and chrondroitin made it much better, but only after I took it everyday for a month, so, maybe will get it out and give it another shot.

Drinking crushed up egg shells ?????? That's one I never heard of and I've been running for 40 years! Sure,running really is bad for your joints...so you have to use your head a bit when setting up your training programs.First off...CEMENT and SHOES are the 2 worst inventions by man. Asphalt(aka BLACKTOP) is more forgiving . Trails (unpaved) are tops for the high school runners I coach.
For muscle aches we use BIOFREEZE and ice to reduce swelling and pain.

I used biofreeze too it is great and so it emu oil and many massage oils and creams that I get.......it's great for migraines too like peppermint oil the real oils......you put in a bath and or above the forehead I can't even think of the eggshells............ nooooo.......... scarred me...........sea salts in the bath...far infared saunas are the best............
