Well, just finished assembling mine, which was more of a workout than I think I'll get from the chair...it's really not that bad, but I wish they had variable 'tubes' (their elastic bands) to allow for greater or lesser effort. I think I need to shop around and see if I can find something a little more rigid that can be attached to the hooks for a little tougher crunch.
One thing I will say though, when you extend all the way back, it feels absolutely fabulous on the spine...there's no effort involved but it really is a great back extension.

and as your body is telling you something here...

Pelvic Tilt on the Ball Lie at an incline position on the ball with the hips down, head supported by the hands and feeling a stretch in the abs. Without rolling on the ball, squeeze the hips up then lower and repeat for 15 reps. might stretch it out even more, while giving your spine even more support.. (ymmv..)
(and yes.. I have both the ball and the chair.. )

My brother (a chiropracter) recommends that big ball for a lot of his patients...including his sister (the other one, because he probably knows I don't have any room in my house to use one safely )

the secret to great abs is cardio. Once you shed the weight then crunches can help define them.
here feel mine. Its what i did. Not only can i wash my skirt on them now, i can also open beer cans.

it sets in my vertigo ,, try deflating it a little bit each time until the vertigo passes.. and as you build up your stabilizer muscles (your resistance factor.). inflate it a little..
( read,, it rolls to easily..,and it is sending you all over the place..)

Those big exercise balls have become a hot item at work - instead of a 600 buck ergonomically perfect chair, people with back problems are using the balls. I'll stick to my chair, I can just picture me falling off and spraining something.
Actually I use the balls at the gym, but I figured the chair was just an 'extra'. It feels good on my back, stretching's always a good thing, but I'm much too accident prone to use it without my trainer watching me.
(My mom used to wonder where I came from - the klutz in a family of athletes ...I told her that only she knew for sure...)
