Posts: 12 Can anyone give me advise about dealing with heel pain? What causes it? Will ignoring it lead to big problems? Will several weeks rest cure it? Is it a common problem?

It could be a heel spur or plantar facitis.

Posts: 2,507 I've had the same pain in my left heel for 9 months now, ever since I joined Anytime Fitness. I mentioned it to my doctor @ my physical & he said that beefing up arch support is a good place to start. Many of the shoes out there, no matter how much they brag them up, do not have proper, or enough support. Since I just bought new Avia's, I'm going to give it a try.

Posts: 2,534 my pretty feets get sore a lot now after working for 30 yrs on the railroad, so I bought a pair of those Walk Fit Orthotics they advertise on one of those tv info-mercials, and its totally amazing how well they woik for me and relieve my pain! I would recommend them to anyone, hey!
