Just be there with love and support and be hopeful and optimistic of her outcome. If you are down in the dumps with a futile attitude, she will pick up on it and it will effect her outlook and future prognosis.
Many people overcome cancer.Maybe you can be there to help her through it.

I do not currently have a family member suffering cancer, but lost my father to it in 1984. He was only 53 years old. I definitely understand the devastation you feel.
Love & kindness along with the power of positive thinking are the best things you can offer. Here's wishing you & your family well.

Prayer is good, too. Thoughts and prayers going out to your sister and your family now.

Several relatives and friends of mine have had cancer. Some survived, some caught it too late. But always hope for the best.

My mom passed in 1986 and my Grandmother [her mother] also died 3 months later.
Although my grandmother was the only one to die of cancer.

Sam, I'm wishing your sister a better outcome.

my dad died from small cell lung cancer in 1998. Altho he was diagnosed in April of 98, I'm sure he had cancer much longer than that.
My ex-husbands aunt had lung cancer many years ago and had her lung removed. She stayed cancer free for many years but continued to chain smoke even after losing a lung. She eventually passed away from lung cancr in her remaining lung

Just stay positive, ther are a lot of new medicines, new treatments out now ....and I'm a firm believer in prayer...

prayers from here...

Damn Laz.. has Stamey been gone that long?.. our mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer years ago.. I was diagnosed in the early stages of cervical cancer less than a year after brain tumor was removed.. my mom's sister, Audie, died from breast cancer.. our Aunt Maxine, bone cancer.. granny Liz, bone cancer.. Papa B was diagnosed last year with melanoma.. surgery was successful

treatments now for certain cancers are highly successful.. early diagnosis is important...

That is good to hear, SAM. And with more treatment of some kind, it may shrink even more. Best wishes to your sister!
