I'm a big sufferer of this allergy. Spring is my worst enemy because I knew i would be wearing mask again. I can't have fun during this season and i have to stay indoors all the time till the pollen's gone.
I want to move to a place or country where i don't have to suffer this. Any recommendations from members here?
Aside from the usual medication from doctors, i'm wondering if there are also natural remedies for this allergy available out there. Or maybe better, how to completely get rid of this allergy from my system .

Your sinus tract needs to be scraped.. It's a process called unroofing.. Now, it will not stop you from ever getting allergies.. But, most of the people never get bad allergies again.. I'll research other remedies for you..

Thanks atone. If possible i don't want any of my bodyparts removed by surgery. Natural healing is what i prefer. I'm really not sure how i developed this allergy. I have no problems at all when i was still living in the Philippines as well as my first 4 years in Japan. Then something changed in my system. It's about the same time i became allergic to smoke. Back in the Philippines, I can stay in a smoking room without any problem so i'm kind of puzzled for this unexpected change. This weekend till next week is Golden Week here in Japan. It's a National Holiday so we have a week of vacation coming up. But i'm here and can't go anywhere. I thought about going to Kyushu for the weekend but all the remaining seats at the shinkanzen (bullet train) are available only at the Smoking Room Only cars. Planes are also fully-booked by now too. And driving by car in the country is too risky for someone who has an allergy so i'm kinda stranded here on the Net.
Anyway, i'm leaving for the US next Saturday so i'll be off and on the net till I get on that flight.

Remember if you get your sinuses "scraped", they basically go in and remove the lining. If the allergies are not addressed, they will swell back as bad as ever. It's really only a short-term fix. I've had it done and my allergies are so bad, it only helped for about six months before they swelled up again. I can barely breathe through my nose most of the time. So, basically, I do not recommend this procedure. It's not pleasant and it may not work.
If you have an allergy to ragweed, do not drink chamomile tea. In fact, until you find out exactly what you ARE allergic to, beware of herbal teas, smoked/barbecued foods, wine. etc. If you are allergic to trees (depending on which types), smoked foods will aggravate your allergies simply because they/you are using wood to smoke it. Wine is aged in wooden barrels. Don't ever use a wood-burning fireplace/stove, burn the leaves in your yard, mow your own lawn or hang around when it's being mowed. Just some things to think about from someone who is allergic to darn near every tree, weed, and grass in existence as well as dust and mold. Oh yeah, if you have a basement, make sure it's dry to cut down on mold/mildew.
Good luck!

Hello i am a fellow sufferer and i can hopfully help you a bit with some of the things i have done to rid myslef of this allergy. I use lavender oil and eucylptyas
oil in the house in oil burners and wipe all the surfaces with a blend of both oils.
It really helps with breathing easier, also dont use fragranced soaps on your face and body. lavender oil sprinkled over the bed can help with sleep. keep a hankie with lavender oil on it with you and put it to your nose when you feel and allergy comming on.....i have done this for years and it works. hope it can work for you

I have a 15 year old son who comes to visit me in the summer.
He is EXTREMELY allergic to grasses. Really miserable.
I understand that Claridin (Not Claridin D) is a better bet than normal antihistamine treatments, and that it is completely non-drowsey (my Doctor tells me). I have three air purifiers that I use when he is here, and that helps a lot. If we go somewhere where there is little grass growing (like the ocean) he has few or no problems. We keep the windows rolled up and the air conditioner on, no matter if it is cool or hot that day. My Buick will run with the heater on and coming through the air conditioner, if it's a cold day. It REALLY puts out the heat too, while filtering the outside and inside air. It helps him a lot.
Common household dust is one of the biggest culprits for allergies, and so are dust mites. Allergy sufferers need a real good filtering system in their homes, and at work and in the car too. My doctor says it is absolutely necessary to vacuum the carpets quite often, especially if you have pets.
