http://web.archive.org/web Gives you the ability to retrieve information or webpages that have been long removed.
Here is an example: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://matchdoctor.com
continue clicking all the sublinks...... it's a time machine of past events, pretty awesome huh?
o.k. here is another favorite of mine
http://www.processlibrary.com/
Example: Ever wonder about that process ctfmon.exe running in your windows task manager is all about? Type the .exe (or the the dll inother cases) into the prompt at the top to find out. http://www.processlibrary.com/directory?files=ctfmon.exe
I hope people participate in this one because it only helps us all

Can't remember when I found this page *or why* but it has some good links on it, including Zonealarm and AVG.

The how stuff works has plenty of resources on computer information and how it works. But there is so much more there as well. A very good resource for all sorts of information.

Sysinternals was/is a great site, lots of programs to snoop your machine. Last year Microsoft bought them out but it seems they are still posting a great collection of advance system utilities.
