Well, my Mom doesn't understand technology, so she took her camera in and had them hard copy my son's wedding pics. Is there any way now, other than scanning, to put them on the computer?

did the "photo place" delete the images from your mom's camera? if not...download the images directly to your computer from your mom's camera
but.. If they did..scanning the images will be the only way...

She doesn't know, nor can she find her cords. I can try mine on it, I guess.

She doesn't know does her camera allow her to see the stored pictures saved on it?
(if it has a view screen on the back that shows the pic before taking it..and all the options the camera has..one of the options will be to view saved pictures..if the pictures show up..they are still in the camera... )
If your cord does not plug into her camera..(the computer end is universal) and the images are still on your mom's camera.. it would be easiest to just have her take the camera back to the photo place..and burn them to a cd/dvd ( which ever one your computer can read)
in the jpeg format

Loreli, Many computers have card readers these days. And so do many printers. And probably do some of your friends. You can just pop the card out of the camera and put it into a reader. Then download to your computer or to where ever you happen to be. If you are not at home then you can email the photos to yourself and then store them on your computer from the email. As long as they have not been deleted and you are using a digital camera getting them on the computer is not very difficult at all. If you use a cord (usb) then you will have to load the camera software. If you can just use the card the OS already has the software built in so there is nothing to load or configure.
Hope this helps.
