Desk Tops....Easier to repair...but take up too much space ...

Laptop...They can be used anywhere ....harder to fix...need a battery....

A desktop computer is quite compact compared to an old ENIAC or the SAGE.

How about getting both a desktop and a laptop and really live it up.

I'm leaning towards a laptop since I can get a 20% discount on one.I could get the discount on a desktop also but they don't have any

Posts: 85 A laptop would be very handy. I have yet to own one myself. Perhaps if I can find an old used one for free or cheap. A 400Mhz machine and Windows 98SE would be all I need. I am sure I would have some fun.

SunBabe, another poster on this forum, is looking to get a good deal on a new laptop. Maybe she will leave a few tips on what she has found in her search so far.

Posts: 510 I prefer laptop. It has a plug in charger - -it's not a constant battery buying venture.
It's larger, and portable and does all the same things as a desktop w/o
taking up so much room.

I use (now) my laptop much more than my desktop...so cool to sit outside in the morns doing my thing online....refreshing too.
