Does anyon ehave this software and do you have any thoughts about how it is to use and is it worth purchasing?
Am looking and this seems to be one of the higher rated packages at a modes cost.
Thanks

Grey all I know about any Corel products is that I was not happy with them when I had one a few years ago. Now I just avoid Corel. I think if you look for some freeware you can find some that is as good or better with no cost at all.

gray, It's a matter of personal preferance of what one wants to use it for. I have this software, and still learning all the functions of it. I enjoy making my own family cards, photo albums, etc. I receive ongoing updates on Corel in my mailbox. Also there are many online instructions of it's use and creativity projects people come up with. The software is very compatible with most other softwares as well, which is a great ease to know.
I like playing around with a lot of clip-art and have made some fun projects with them. One of my projects was making book markers; I have a laminated machine and made some beautiful ones and even sold some to friends, etc.
Photo Shop is great too and I believe they are compatible to each other in use if one has both on computer, (takes a lot of memory though).
What ever you choose, have fun!

Many times you can find free software online that is comparable to paid programs. I find at times that programs I might have to pay for have a lot of features I will never use, so I hate paying for them unless I really have to. Not a cheapskate, just hate paying for stuff I won't use.

thanks to everyone for the input so far. I am wanting to load all of my old photos, via scanning, and build albums on CD's so they can easily be passed on.
Will probably need to do some type of photo enhancement on some of the older pics but for the most part just routine edits and maybe adding a title and then being able to place in different albums. Maybe that helps give some idea of how I want to use it.
Thanks again everyone,

Personally I stay away from all Corel products, they like to take over your computer and really hard to uninstall.
MayorGeeks has a nice list of freeware
Geeks freeware list
Scroll down to “Edit or organize my photos”, there you will see a short list of free programs that you Can try, click the link ‘photos’ and you will be taken to longer list of programs but some are shareware.
Adobe makes a great photo edit/organize and you can get the free starter version here
Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition
Hope this helps

What do you want to be able to do with it?
Do you want a basic photo album package?
OR do you want a full graphic package which includes PhotoPaint, Vector Animations, 2D drawing etc?
If you want a basic photo album package PicassaPiccassa is free to download and very easy to use. It does basic things like frame, recolour, resize, sort into albums and stores all your photos.
If you want the full graphics package, Corel is very good and versatile.
It has compatible for both PC and Mac.
