You're right. I think she could have labelled that link a little bit differently.

(It's really just a webpage where they're discussing it, lol)

OK...I've run TrendMicro's Housecall, Windows Defender, and now Kaspersky AntiVirus is going. Nothing is finding it. I also did TWO system restores, but they both failed mid-restore.

I have a Hijack This log, if anyone is good at analyzing those...

The virus makes my MSN windows will start to flash, and then disappear. Then MSN will stop working.

Thanks for the heads up about the virus link... ...I changed the wording

One of these will probably do the trick. Post your hijack this results file and lets have a look. Also AVAST anti virus is really good at keeping things out. Also there is a boot time scan that can dig out hidden invaders. It is free BTW.

Thank you Gman for recommending Kaspersky. It found the file and took care of it. My MSN is running fine now

No prob. Kaspersky is one of the best going. NOD32 is another real good one.

This site does independent comparisons of AV software. A good link to save:

If any of y'all get into virus issues, I strongly urge you to read the forums at majorgeeks as they will give you the latest procedures to use for virus/malware removal. Their procedure is very thorough.
