I do not have a land line, so i don't have a fax machine. So each week I need to send a few pages to a company I do work for. I usually scan them and send them as attachments through an email account on Gmail.
After I send two or three separate attachments, ( each page is a separate attachment).
When they get there, the pages will be the same page..
I do not understand how this is possible, and wondering if it is my computer, their computer or a problem with GMAIL itself.

You mean one page is being repeated? What type of file are you sending them as?

Is there a spot to select how many pages you are transmitting?

This may be a real simple error here. Each time you scan to create the file that you will send as an attachment, it probably asks if you want to save it (and, of course, you do). BUT... Are you over-writing the same file name for each subsequent saved page? Then when you go to the flles to attach them, you just have X-copies of the same file name and have accidentally over-written the previous files?.

Not sure what kind of file..........
I just open the mail, click compose, fill in subject, and attach each file separately ( ex--- scan001, scan 002 ect ) then I send it.
But when I go to the " my scans " page, I can see each individual scan, and see that each one is different. I rename each one, so I can refer to it later after sorting/filing it.
It arrives, they send me a message, each attachment they open, is the same as the first one.. Doesn't make sense to me.

It appears that you are doing everything correctly. As a test, email multiple attachments to yourself and see what happens.

I have been doing this for a few months, then, all of a sudden, they cannot open all of them, well they think they are, but it is the same scan..
I have tried to send 1 attachment per email....... Just time consuming.
Still wondering if a magic jack will work with wireless internet.... so I can hook up my own fax machine....
Some say they fax aren't supposed to work. But no one else has wireless to see if it is worth the investment.
