Posts: 18,025 A few days ago my pc was doing something odd I finally fixed the problem now it says I need to reinstall windows for the video thing for music ....it says another program is running an I am not running or have done anything different.... it just started to say that I ran the disk should I reinstall it again I am afraid I might lose pictures on my camera

Posts: 70 Don't reinstall all Windows but copy ur pics etc. to another location. ( only to be sure ) And reinstall only the program via system control - remove software. Then install again with the CD.
If u want to reinstall windows ( virus etc. ) burn all ur data on a CD as reinstalling Windows will erase ALL existing data on ur harddisk

...oops, just found out that XP works differently than the 98 I re-installed. Going back to just reading now...
