"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."
I DO have Java switched on and updated. I DO have the latest Flash player. I DO have all the other Adobe updates.
This message on youtube is the bane of my existence right now. I can't play ANYTHING on phukin youtube because - no matter which browser I use - no matter which add ons I enable - and no matter what else I try to do -
I get this message whenever I try to play a youtube video!!!
Is this a bloody virus or something? Anyone know how to fix this??

lets see the usual culprits
1) cookies enabled?
2) Add ons enabled and updated?
3) content TAB in internet options java enabled?(firefox)
((Explorer)) try..../browsing history /settings/ view objects / right click ''n'' up date
try that one time

Yup tried all those... I did get an 'add on' fault in which Explorer 8 'thought' some add ons were disabled. But everything was enabled and updated.
I've now sorted out one 'version' of the problem. When I completely uninstalled everything Adobe in "Add and Remove Programmes" (Control Panel) and installed Flash Player again, youtube videos would run from Firefox. They still won't work with Explorer or Google Chrome, but I'm trying to work around those problems. It seems to have some connection to script errors in those two...
But thanks very much Mr O, it was very decent of you to post such a thorough diagnostic.

Thanks very much LB.
I found the cause yesterday, it was an SP3 upgrade corruption to IE8. I reinstalled Windows Explorer 8, Adobe flash and Java afterwards and wow videos opened lol.
Thanks all.
