When I joined MD, I had no idea where it would lead, in fact in the beginning I merely spent time in the chat room, typing lyrics to songs which everyone seemed to enjoy.
After a failed and brief relationship with a man that was obviously a huge mistake, I just stayed happily in the chat room and watching the forums.
Then I met him, friends at first. chatting in the chat room, which evolved to mails on site, then private mails and eventually the whole thing, Talking online with camera.. phone calls.. texts.. the works.
I lived in England, while he lived in California.
Somehow the distance didnt dissuade us, and after several months I flew to America.
A wonderful month seemed to fly past, then 4 months later he was on the plane too.. flying to me where I now lived in Portugal.
Another month that flew like the wind!
I have tickets for December now, Im off again to the states.
We have long term plans now, and we have overcome the difficulties of distance. I think if youre really in love like we are, then nothing can come between you.
I wish anyone who also has long distance lovers good luck, to have patience, and to know that if thats what they really want, the wait will be worth it.
Just thought I'd share our story.

 hey girlie.......that is wonderful and yes it is a nice surprise I know many......that if there is a will there is a way and I never say never............ I am so happy for you  makes me very happy........  I can't wait to hear all about it.......  yep definitely something in the air........this year......it's all about love.......and that is wonderful

I know they work.......both parties have to want it and I believe when you know it is right ..........distance is such a small thing........to find that one person  I have no problem when the sincerety is there and you meet and you just know............ that would not be a big deal.......

Hey my little girly..... ........you have quite the distance.....and I know very much that it can work........it's how much both parties ........want it and .. ........take the proper steps to make it happen if you want it bad enough it will work.. ....communication is everything......and to take the time......not just over a short period of a few weeks......but......alot more has to go into a real relationship.........it does take work......for both parties...... .........anything is possible..... ....nobody should .......just be closed minded about it.......too many open possibilities......... What a shame..........that someone may miss out......because they never thought of the big picture........to see it with all open doors...... So many have taken the steps........

Well LDR do work and mine did for 3yrs until she finished it cus i wasn't offered a job in her country!!! Oh well..... I wish her the best!!!!

oohh that is too bad, I remember all of that sy....... well........they can work.......I know that for a fact I stand on it strong though.........time is everything and it does require patience, trust and alot of work..........with the communication............it is definitely Not .........something that is going to happen overnight.................no way.......too many bugs in there to fix..........something to invest your time into.......as it is hard enough on relationships that are in your own country or state...........let alone the kind that are long distance.........but.......it works............
oops.......I did a boo boo............. sorry...........   I didn't finish........and I double whammied myself.............
