Posts: 1 I first met my sweetheart on MatchDoctor in May of 2005. I was in college in the US studying computer science and she was in Vietnam working as a supply coordinator for a UK company. I went back to college late in life, 39 years old. She and I wrote through the last of my college year and after I graduated and saved some money I went to Vietnam to meet her in person.

We knew right away we wanted to marry and she accepted my proposal the first night I was there. We had already been writing more than 2 years at that point so it was not a surprise. I am in my mid-40's and I had nearly given up on romance until I met her. I have never been happier in my life. She has been living with me for the last few weeks and tomorrow is our wedding day.

I traveled back to Vietnam more than once and we went through the long process of getting the marriage visa. I can tell how much she loves me simply by seeing the patience she has shown going through all this. I never would have met her had it not been for this web site.

I wrote to many different women on the site, mostly in the US, but she and I just never stopped writing. She was very faithful in this and it was very rare when there was a day we would not exchange at least one letter. We have a collection of thousands of emails.

So you see dreams do come true. This is the first marriage for both of us. While I can not see the future, if it is anything like our relationship so far, I am confident we will be married until death parts us. Thanks again MatchDoctor, you have made me the happiest man in the world!!!
